Chop onion finely put in a large mixing bowl. Combine all ingredients, adding salt & pepper at your own discretion. Using your hands to mix well. Shape into 1 1/4 inch meatballs.
You can do one of three things:
- After you've shaped your meatballs, place them into a tomato sauce you've had simmering on the stove. Cook meatballs for at least 25 minutes in the sauce. Take one out to check to see if cooked through. Serve hot
- Pre-heat oven to 400`F. Place meatballs on a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper and brown on the top rack, flipping once. Approximately 40 minutes. Once cooked, place in a tomato sauce to simmer for 10 minutes and serve.
- When using all 3 packages of meat I tend to have a lot of meatballs. (Yes I spend a lot of time shaping those balls usually sitting in front on the TV). So take a couple of cookie sheets and line them with either wax paper / parchment paper. Place formed meatballs on cookie sheet leaving a space between each one. Put in freezer for about an hour or two. Once meatballs are frozen place in a Ziploc freezer bags. This prevents them from sticking together and becoming one big meatball.
