Squash and Apple Turnovers


Squash Filling

2 small squash
corn syrup
Nutmeg
Cinnamon
garlic
2/3 tub of cream cheese


Cut the squash in half and scoop out seeds. Place halves on a baking sheet. Sprinkle generously with nutmeg. Sprinkle a little cinnamon and add a dash of corn syrup to each half. Bake @ 350' until fork pierces the flesh.


Scoop flesh out and place in a bowl, mash with a potato masher. When cooled add cream cheese.

Flatten dough with a rolling pin and cut out into squares. Fill each square with a tablespoon of filling. Fold over and press to make a triangle.

Bake @ 400' for 20 minutes or until golden


Apple Filling

2lbs of Apples
Cinnamon
1/4 cup of Sugar

Cook apples on low heat in a frying pan until softened. Mash apples slightly add cooled mixture to dough.
